Ever since hearing “Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick” at age four, the fascination began. Those revolving black discs were magical and my pocket money was quickly spent on this new-found addiction. I still hold a great alliance to the eclectic sounds of the 70s, 80s and early 90s – a period of constant change and innovation, coupled with the most enduring, ever-lasting perfect pop music.
At the height of Britpop I was in Manchester, studying Music Production and Recording. This led on to working at The Windings residential studio in North Wales, working with Shed Seven, Steve White (Paul Weller), Matt Deighton (Mother Earth) and countless ‘Black Metal’ bands.
A theatrical calling led to two years at drama school in London and I’ve stayed in the Capital since 2009. Plays, short films and TV work as an actor followed (including Lead Male in Royal Blood’s “Come On Over”!), but the ultimate passion for music stays resolutely persistent. I talk about what I know with enthusiasm, conviction and performance skill. THIS is what I do now.
